Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Amy Smart, born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996, she made her debut as a actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure the role for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was a gruelling battle. The transition was difficult for Amy because she had transition from modelling to acting. Models aren't regarded as the best actors so they tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform more prominent parts. Amy got her first recognition for her efforts in the last decade. Then she worked on many of the greatest film productions, such as the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played a recognizable character.
