Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller role. In the beginning, it was difficult for her switching from modeling to acting. This is because most models aren't good actors. In the majority of cases, they're only given small, insignificant parts. Amy did not give up. She worked her way up to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her play larger parts. Amy gained recognition after more than ten years trying. She then continued to appear in many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played a recognizable character.
