Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978, was the daughter of Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father was Dominican and her mother Puerto Rican. She was born in Queens. After she turned 10 years old, old the family relocated towards the Dominican Republic, where they were to stay for seven years. Zoe's interest in dance was ignited when they lived in the Dominican. Zoe started her dance training at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy.
