April Ross, a beach volleyball star American She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman, competing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics is hoping to secure her third Olympic medal. Ross hopes to win the Olympic first gold medal, but she is also aiming to win more. There is a chance that it is her last chance at winning, as she's 39 old. She is still confident but she is not sure. Ross born in 1982 and lived in Costa Mesa California with her siblings and parents, started participating in athletics at Newport Harbor High School. She went on to compete in a myriad of sports in Newport Harbor High School. She played basketball and ran the track as well as her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. She was clearly the best in the game of indoor volleyball. In her college profile, she played outside of the hitter middle blocker and setter throughout her volleyball time during high school. As a tribute to her efforts, she received the Gatorade Award for National Player in 1999. The year 2000 was the time she was awarded her the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross and Klineman started their relationship in 2017 but Ross was a beach scene star for years before. In actual, Ross has won several significant tournaments during her time along with her two teammates. One of them is a legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be strong on the international circuit, winning a 2009 world title with each other. They took home a Silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team which won the 2012 Olympic Games in London, edged their opponents to claim the gold medal. Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. They both went on to take home the bronze medal in beach volleyball in the Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross played for the Trojans at USC during her the college years following her graduation from high school. The time she spent at USC was one to remember. In her first year at the school, 2000 was when she won the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman of the Year awards and be an All-American. In addition, she helped her Trojans to reach the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss during her sophomore year, yet was successful in achieving the All-American distinction. The two years following her she led the Trojans up to the summit and won consecutive national titles. The achievements of each individual have established her as a volleyball legend. Ross was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross studied international relations at USC. Sadly, Ross mother Margie did not get to see Ross rise to the top levels of beach volleyball stardom. When Ross was in her sophomore year at USC her mother died of breast cancer. She has kept her parents close to her his heart. In addition, Margie remains a source of encouragement for her on the beach and in her daily life.
